409 North Grant Street in Snow,

A "blizzard" by South Georgia standards, the surprise snowfall of 22 December 1989 in the Upper Coastal Plain was one of the largest on record (3+"), and, in a stroke of irony, parts of South Georgia still had small amounts of snow on the ground at Christmas that year. A White Christmas, while rare even in Atlanta, is a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence in this part of the world. The first picture is a street near my parents' home. I then took the picture of my grandmother's house on Grant Street, not realizing how lucky I was to have film in the camera that day.
